   Hotel Régent Petite France **** - Fabulous hotel in old buildings on an island in the River Ill, in the Petite France area close to the centre. For a hotel of its quality, prices are good, and there are sometimes last-minute bargains to be had.

  Hotel Hannong *** - Three-star hotel in a neoclassical building in old Strasbourg, a short distance from the  Place Kleber and the Petite France quarter.
• Strasbourg (67 - Bas Rhin) - centre
  Hotel la Cruche d'Or**  - Small hotel in a pedestrian area of the centre of old Strasbourg, close to the cathedral. The rooms are quite small but not expensive. Excellent location, plenty of restaurants nearby.
• Eguisheim, near Colmar (68 - Haut Rhin) -centre
  Hostellerie des Comtes **  - Comfortable and friendly two star inn in traditional  style, in the small, quiet and very picturesque village of Eguisheim amid the Alsace vineyards just south of Colmar. Excellent restaurant with local specialities.

• Nancy (54 - Meurthe et Moselle) - centre
  Hotel des Prélats *** - The building is  a 400 year-old former bishop's palace, and it's been a hotel for 100 years - though modernised since then, and is comfortable and quiet! Very well located in the historic centre of Nancy, close to the Place Stanislas. Generally good reviews, though parking in the area is metered.
• Flirey (54 Meurthe & Moselle - in the Lorraine regional park)
  €    Auberge de Flirey - small hotel with seven rooms, located in the village of Flirey in the heart of the Lorraine regional park, 30 km northwest of Nancy. Bicycles for hire. A little clean and comfortable hotel, with a restaurant and friendly staff. Lots of good reviews.

• Besançon, (25 - Doubs) .
  Hotel Charles Quint   The Hotel Charles Quint is a small  *** boutique hotel in old building in a quiet street between the Cathedral, the Roman triumphal arch and the  Citadelle, a UNESCO world heritage site.. Though in short walking distance from the Grande rue - the high street - you feel in the country or in a village. 
• Besançon, (25 - Doubs) .
  Hotel Granvelle   The ** Hotel Granvelle is located back from the street in a mainly residential part of the historic centre of Besançon. It is in easy walking distance of shops, cafés and restaurants, and a hundred metres from footpaths to the Citadel (a good climb!) and along the riverbank. Parking onsite and close by. Easy car access. 
• Luisans (25 - Haut-Doubs area, Jura mountains)
  The Auberge du Tuyé, ***, 9 rooms, occupies a former and traditional Jura farmhouse in the village of Luisans near Morteau, between Besançon and Neuchâtel. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, restaurant with local specialities. Sauna, hammam, ski-storage area. 10 miles from the Swiss border. A "tuyé" is the vast chimney characterising old Jura farms, still used to this day for smoking hams and sausages.
• Arbois (39 Jura)
  Hotel Sequoia *** Three star hotel attached to a rural château six kilometres outside the picturesque town of Arbois, the centre of the Jura wine growing area. The hotel is a modern building, built in the traditional  mountain chalet style, with lots of wood. A good location for exploring the Jura vineyards and the beautiful countryside all around.
• Passenans (39 Jura  -  Jura vineyards area)
  Domaine du Revermont *** three star hotel located in the heart of the Jura vineyards, just north of Lons le Saunier and Chateau-Chalon. Comfortable, spacious and modern rooms,  friendly staff, and a good restaurant.
• Lamoura (39 Jura -  Haut-Jura regional park)
  The** logis La Spatule lies in the small village and ski resort of Lamoura, in the Haut-Jura regional park, among meadows and spruce forests. Open summer and winter, the chalet-style hotel is well located for discovering the high Jura. The hotel has a restaurant, bar and bicycle hire, and is just an hour's drive from Geneva airport.
• Near Gray (70 Haute Saône - Saône river valley)
  Just six rooms available at the Domaine des Papillons, an old Franche Comté manor house less than a mile from the banks of the Saône. A crossover between hotel and bed and breakfast, this friendly establishment comes with a tennis court, barbecue facilities, and cycle hire.. Restaurant
